Happy Valentine's Day!
I seriously intended to post this long before now, but...well I forgot, okay? But hey, better late than never, am I right?
Right.
Moving on!
I decided to do a little something special for my friends this year, and I found an adorable idea on Pinterest. I decided I wanted to fancy mine up a bit more than what these were.
I snagged a heart outline from here, and then jazzed it up in Photoshop to add the color and text. All that was left then was to simply cut them out and paste them onto the socks! The brand I found had a cardboard topper, so it was perfect for what I had in mind.
Aren't they adorable? I love how they turned out!
And in case you want to use this idea for yourself, here's a printable version of the graphic I used!
To be honest, I can't remember what size I saved it as, but I'm thinking it's in the neighborhood of 2.5x3? (Or maybe 2x3.5? I don't know).
I also stuck one of these lollipop flowers to each, because they were adorable, and what's Valentine's Day without candy?!
The flower pattern is from Repeat Crafter Me (one of my favorite websites). I used Tootsie Roll pops instead of Dum Dums, though, so I used a larger crochet hook to make my flowers to match the larger candies.
Still totally adorable though, and they were a HUGE hit!
I really should have gotten better photos of them, though.
Finally, I wanted to do a little something special for some of the kiddos at church, and I had plenty of Tootsie Roll pops left over, so I went made Superhero Pops! I'd seen the idea in an old issue of Family Fun magazine, but I wasn't able to find that template again, unfortunately.
However, these printable capes and goggles were easy to find with a quick search, and I actually liked using them better! The template I had before was blank, and I had to add in color/message/etc myself.
These I just printed, cut out and put together! Super easy!
Plus, the kiddos loved them too, which is even better.
Hope you all enjoyed this roundup, and I hope you have a fantastic Valentine's Day! :)
