Happy Halloween!

Why is it when I say I'm going to blog more, I post nothing?!
I'm making an honest effort to do better, I promise, and I have some posts in the works for as early as next week! Hoorah!

Until then, here's a couple appropriately ~spooky~ images for Halloween!
(really, it was just an excuse for me to play with my fake blood and Photoshop)

Happy Halloween!!

Things You Can Sell to Make Some Extra Money

Are you attempting to de-clutter your home? I moved not long ago, and was amazed at the amount of "stuff" I had amassed. I donated a lot of items then, but over the past few months decided to do another round of de-cluttering. However, this time, I chose to try to sell some of my "stuff". In today's economy every little bit helps! My parents and I held a joint yard sale at their home, and we ended up doing fairly well. I f you want to get rid of clutter within your home, then selling some of your belongings is a great way for you to do this. You can make a lot of money by doing this too! Below are some items you can consider selling, in case you're in need of a starting point. Childhood Toys If you find it difficult to let go of some of your childhood toys then this is understandable. I have my own beloved keepsakes that I'm not sure I'll ever be able to part with! However, choosing to sell them could pay off. It’s always worth going through your chi...

Valentine Crafts 2015 Roundup!

Happy Valentine's Day!  I seriously intended to post this long before now, but...well I forgot, okay? But hey, better late than never, am I right?  Right.  Moving on!  I decided to do a little something special for my friends this year, and I found an adorable idea on Pinterest . I decided I wanted to fancy mine up a bit more than what these were.  I snagged a heart outline from here , and then jazzed it up in Photoshop to add the color and text. All that was left then was to simply cut them out and paste them onto the socks! The brand I found had a cardboard topper, so it was perfect for what I had in mind. Aren't they adorable? I love how they turned out! And in case you want to use this idea for yourself, here's a printable version of the graphic I used!  To be honest, I can't remember what size I saved it as, but I'm thinking it's in the neighborhood of 2.5x3? (Or maybe 2x3.5? I don't k...

Winter Soldier Scarf & Semi-Pattern

Happy Friday! (And also Happy Pi Day, for those of you of the geeky persuasion!) This scarf began as one of those 'I want to make something for meeeeee' projects. I'd been buried under requests for things for others (which is nice, don't get me wrong), that it had been awhile since I was able to whip up something for myself. So one night I decided I'd stop at the store and buy myself some yarn to make myself a new scarf. Allllll for me.  I chose the colors originally thinking it would be a Thor-inspired color scheme, but once I started working I realized it was more Captain America-ish than anything. Which works just as well for me.  And so, I'm dubbing this my 'Winter Solider' scarf, in honor of the new Captain America move coming out in April! (And no, I'm not being paid to plug this movie by Marvel, I just love them is all!)   I used three colors of Caron Simply Soft Party yarn, which I'd never used before but ended up ...
